At an early age it became clear that Krista was a natural entertainer. Singing in perfect pitch and memorizing chorography from music videos were normal Saturday afternoon play for her. Krista grew up in a very creative environment listening to her father play intricate classical guitar and her mother singing opera.

Krista became deeply interested in both guitar and piano studying and learning music by artists such as Tori Amos and Shawn Colvin. She found inspiration in both her own life struggles and those of other artists.

Drenching herself in jazz while a music major in college, Krista found her ability to scat sing. She ate, slept and breathed Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae and Sarah Vaughn.

Although her music initially fell into the folk genre, Krista’s sound quickly evolved into a jazzy, funky soulful sound while still experimenting with elements of folk. Her voice is unique and distinct over top of her intricate finger style picking and her complex yet catchy chord progressions.

Krista has four home studio recorded albums under her belt with a fifth on the way. She continues to wow her fans with her intense live performances. The honesty and vulnerability in her music makes it easy to identify with her. When you hear Krista’s provocative sultry voice, it’s not easily forgotten
