Perfect for "Fireplace and Brandy" listening!
author: John Emmerling
This is what I like to call a "Fireplace and Brandy" album. Settle back and allow Kristine Stott's lilting soprano to trip the light fantastic from song to song to song. Her vocals brilliantly bring to life eight poems by e. e. cummings, three poems by New York City's legendary queen of wit, Dorothy Parker, and four other musical surprises. Is your iPod's memory getting filled up with "sameness?" Add this CD and your iPod will thank you for giving it music that truly sparkles with freshness.

Marvelous 'art song'
author: Ed Goodstein

appeal to those who love the Joan Morris/William Bolcom duet albums, but also anyone with an interest in art song or just plain lovely, intelligent music. Also there's a sense of fun too not to be forgotten! Bravo!

What a pleasure to hear these 15 songs that are intellectually stimulating (both musically and for literary content) as well as a feast for the ears.
