Peter Gracie - United Kingdom

You like jazz vocals - you'll love this.
Here we have a musician who really can sing and play bass to a very high standard. She has a refreshing style and her vocal phrasing is excellent. Together with Mike Wofford and Jeff Hamilton, this trio fairly swings along with each player complementing the other. The opening number really sets the tone and what follows is a nicely varied program. The last time I heard anything comparable to this was years ago and that was Ella with Oscar Peterson's trio (How's that for a complement). Need I say more - christmas came early. A 'must' buy.
