Beauty, Heart and Chops
author: Che Pizarro
Beautiful. The string work, the arrangements, the patience, the songs, a voice of sure sensuality, the open clarity of the recording itself. All beautiful. Everything here comes across as genuinely felt, not only by the vocalist but by all the players. Not genuine in the sense of naked and blurted out, but genuine in the sense that a great wine or scotch, made with age tested techniques and all the time required to get things just right, gives one a genuine pleasure. This CD loves its listeners.
