Music has always been something that stirs my heart. I started off playing the clarinet of all things, in 5th grade only to find myself always looking back at the percussionists who looked like they were actually having fun. So, from 6th grade until my Senior year in high school I played percussion, including snare drum in marching band my freshman through junior year and quads my Senior year. Playing the drums gave me the natural ability to pick out strumming patterns when I picked up my first guitar in 7th grade for a music class. I did not start taking guitar seriously until I was about 16 years old. However, it took me until I turned 18 to write my first complete song. I played and sang it at my high school Senior choir concert. Over the years, I have found myself in various musical projects that have come and gone, but I constantly seem to come back to my solo career as an artist. I have taken much time off while finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Bible and Theology in May of 2011, but I look forward to playing and writing more music now.
