Album Notes

Pete's 3rd album, "elements," is comprised of 12 songs bringing sincere expression and contemplative lyrics spanning the full spectrum of relationships. From the first tug of the heart string to the first salvo of war to saying goodbye in a style best suited for today's reality TV.

Each song on elements represents its own story. Yet the complete collection of songs creates an interwoven narrative of family, friends, emotion, and personal perspectives of societal struggles. It may sound like a load of crap but it's what Pete is trying to do with his revamped website, www.petekronowitt.com. Pete's new website provides a framework linking narrative into his songs, videos and background on the motivations for writing some of these songs.

"Now It's We" is the centerpiece of "elements," originally composed as a wedding gift for his younger sister Tracy, it embodies the values of trust, respect and friendship. "Tracy called me two weeks before the wedding," Pete says, "and my first response was, ‘It took me five years to write one for our grandmother! Are you kidding?’ I’ve always written personal songs, but this one was different. Even though I wasn’t married at the time, I wanted it to reflect the things I believed were important to sustaining a healthy marriage. I asked Natalie to help with the lyrics and it came out beautifully. A year later, Natalie and I used the lyrics for our wedding vows."

Pete's songwriting has been associated with notables such as Jack Johnson, as well as to legend Elvis Costello, continually evolving from singer/songwriting influences of adult pop.
