KROOK ROCK a.k.a. KRUZ PIEDRA

9 years!! That's how much time the judge sentenced me to in 1998 after being out on bail for 10 months on a manslaughter charge. I was now able to put every thing behind me and focus on my future. i had been writing music since 1989 and performing live since 1991. In 1994 I started recording professionally. The one person to believe in me and decided to pay for my recordings was killed after only two songs had been tracked.

I was determined to continue by any means and ended up selling drugs and caught up in a life style filled with hate, envy and greed. I got into a fight in a night club in 1996 and was arrested a week later, charged with murder. The guy I had a fight with ended up dying three days after the brawl due to" blunt force trauma to the skull". I got out on bail in January of 1998 and began recording again. I released an EP with my old group Bad Luck Crew, but it didn't do good due to me getting sentenced and not being able to promote it.

I wrote over 125 songs in less than four years and was paroled in September of 2002. I began to record immediately after being released. In a little more than a year i recorded about 40 songs and have now released two albums simultaneously. An english hip-hop album and a spanish cd of hip-hop and reggaeton(a latin mix of rap and reggae/dancehall). I've performed all over New England and New York as well. My main goal is to get signed as a label, by a major and be able to release music by artists signed by me and my music as well.
