Album Reviews
...a sexy, sophisticated record... the centerpiece is the title track, Kropf's femme fatale vocals beautifully accented by a spare middle-of-the-night backing track that longs to be in a movie soundtrack." - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
"The long-awaited second album from the fresh-voiced Kropf, What Else is Love is a multi-faceted aural digest of styles ranging from jazz to folk, to radio friendly pop. Poignant lyrics and enduring melodies carry each song, showcasing Kropf's maturity as a songsmith...After five years, Kropf hits her mark. Definitely worth the wait." - MugZine
"Heather Kropf's second independent, self-produced CD plays like the work of a seasoned pro, and she's beginning to realize that people get it. "What Else is Love" crackles with contemporary folk, pop and jazz elements -- bright ideas framed in solid pop sensibilities performed by Kropf on a 1920s Steinway surrounded by electric instruments." - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
"Listening to Heather's music is like turning off the lamp and opening the curtains on a clear day. Let it shine, let it shine, let is shine." - Gardyloo Fanzine
"“Pittsburgh has been truly blessed with a very refreshingly gifted singer/songwriter and keyboard artist." - Pittsburgh Magazine

Soulful and Sublime
author: Keith
Heather paints an incredibly colorful canvas, showing the many different shades of love through a nice variety of musical styles. The highlight is the title track, a smooth and sensual groove that invokes the image of sitting in a smokey nightclub with people all dressed for the evening. In addition to her adventures on the blue side, there are several tracks that showcase Heather's trademark gritty-folksy sound. "...Love" has a rich, dense sound at points, with overdubbed vocal lines apparent, providing a nice contrast to her previous album "Sky" which had a more naked and bare sound to it. Buy this album so you can say "I knew her when. . ."
