Album Notes

The Kruger Brothers gathered with over 40 guest musicians to record the Carolina Scrapbook Vol. 2 in 2005. Over 80 tracks where recorded live in a intimate atmosphere in their Double Time Music recording studio in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

The concept behind the 'Scrapbook' recordings is to capture the genuine experience of musicians playing music together in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From that gigantic recording session which took several months to complete there where enough cuts to create a separate 'Gospel Edition' with the artists that where singing Gospels. Therefore like all Scrapbook CD's this one is not a Kruger Brothers only CD. It's a compilation of songs the Kruger Brothers arrange and accompany and where they feature known artists beside unknown local talents in one uniquely genuine recording.

Featuring MAYNARD HOLBROOK - GAYLE BROWN
DAVID TAYLOR - CHRISTA KRÜGER - THE GRANDSONS
LAURA BOOSINGER - LANA & CLAUDE SHEW

fun album. I enjoy the instruments more than the voices. Some catchy tunes, but also some very meaningful, thought-provoking lyrics.
