In Kiev, 1998 during one of the TV air shows one could observe the joint performance of young guitarist Alexey Krupsky with the pianist/composer Anatoly Alexanian. Up until this time the twenty-year-old musician had been taking jazz guitar lessons from the well-known teacher Vladimir Molotkov. He graduated violin at the musical school by Tchaikovsky National Conservatory and the Gliera Musical College in Kiev (Ukraine) in jazz guitar. Later he studied at the Hanns Eisler Musical Academy in Berlin and Berklee Summer School in Perugia (Italy).
Alexey enthusiastically accepted an offer from Anatoly Alexanian to make a studio record with his "Jazz Impression" band.
"It was very interesting, improvising, constantly being in movement, as if on different "rhythm-waves". The playing of Alexandr Darov on the drums gives the feeling as if you were in parallel existent rhythmic spheres."
Alexey Krupsky
Jazz Impression - the reflection of impressions in the bright and colourful palette of the sounds.
The idea of J.I. emerged in 1987 on the basis of Anatoly Alexanyan's pieces.
In 1999 the second album "Marfa " was recorded, and it was a successful debut of a gifted guitar player Alexey Krupsky.
