SO where has the Kry been these past 10 years since the release of their very well received YOU album? Everywhere!! Literally flying the world! To Alaska (As part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) to Australia (Along with Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie) to Canada ( the Max Ministries outreach to the Canadians) to Haiti (Along with compassion international) to Israel (doing outreach concerts upon invitation by the ministry of Tourism in Israel) to, Russia, Albania and other Eastern European Countries, England (As part of the Creation Fest UK, in Devon) to France, to Ghana ( tagging along with “Lifeline Mission” and many others!! The Kry has managed to remain very active through the years, despite being somehow distant from the Music Industry as we know it! Ministry has always been their priority and, minister they did! In 2000, God opened a door for them to minister through songs at Cassie Bernal’s funeral and memorial service, just a few weeks after the infamous Columbine shooting in Littleton Colorado. The song “Cassie’s song” (From their “Let me say album) was written shortly after. In 2001, another door of opportunity was open, as Jean-Luc found himself singing for the people of New York at a makeshift memorial in Union Square. The song New York (From the Music tract New York, was written during the second visit to New York, shortly after the 9-11 tragedy.
Of the 2004 release “God Of Infinite Worth”, Jean-Luc wrote: “God has given me so many songs lately, which most of them happen to be worship songs! I use to have the hardest time writing Worship Music, it just wouldn’t come to me easy but, in the last couple years, I have found myself writing more worship songs then I know what to do with!! ‘tis the season of my life where, everything seems to revolve around worship. It makes sense when you think of heaven!! It will definitely be a place filled with music, with Worship and praise of the God of infinite worth!
With this album now released and, having been well received amongst the Christian Music Communities and beyond, The Kry followed with their first “All French” CD last year (2006) and are blazing new trails in the French Christina Rock world! “Peut-Etre”, the title of this album, is in nomination for “Best Francophone Album of the year”, at the Covenant Awards, in Canada.
Where are they now? Ready to hit the next wave that comes their way; They are currently working on a new project due in the Spring of 2008 and, those interested in Christian Rock Music with a “British twist”, will definitely want to get their hands on this new CD!
