Album Notes

Krysta Dennis' music has been refered to as "Joan Baez meets a folkier Rilo Kiley meets Leonna Naess's self-titled album. Sort of." She is a singer-songwriter originally from Albany, New York, but she has lived in places as diverse as Angers, France and South Bend, Indiana. Her album Empty Pockets was written mostly while she was living in France and recorded at Cotton Hill studios in Albany. She plays the mountain dulcimer, the Irish bouzouki, the guitar, the bowed psaltry, the piano, the trumpet, the banjo, and is currently working on learning the accordion, having given up on the violin. Featured musicians on her album include Jared Funari, Michael Campion, Jon Krakat, Jimmy Kaufman, Matt Smith, Harith Abdullah,Wendy Cullings and Tom McWatters.
