Album Notes

With sultry vocals, sizzling drumbeats, and resonating bass lines, it’s easy to lose yourself in the music of the Kim Snyder Johnson...

Pianist/ vocalist/ composer/ Kim Snyder Johnson, is currently a self managed artist residing in McAllen, Texas.

Notably, Kim has performed in Austin, Texas and all over the Rio Grande Valley, her repertoire flexible enough to allow for solo or ensemble gigs.

Her sound has been compared to Diana Krall, Norah Jones and other female jazz contemporaries, Kim humbly considers those as high compliments, but works hard to develop a sound all her own.

Having taken the plunge this summer and released her first original album, Kim is excited to share her soul & some surprises with her South Texas fan base. The material is eclectic and might catch you off guard with some strong lyrics and genre crossing styles. "I feel as if I'm jumping off a cliff and free falling."

With the engineering and musical talents of Charlie Vela, expect the unexpected and enjoy!

I love the variety and depth of Kim's musical talent. The song lyrics are soulful and reflect tremendous personal insight. Track 2-"Angels" spoke to me in a very personal way as I deal with the loss and struggles of loved ones. Thank you Kim.
