K.S.K. stands for Kevin and Sean Kumar.
Kevin and Sean are blood brothers, born and raised in Southern California. From early childhood on, they have been living and breathing music. Both have had years of the most rigorous classical training, some of it received at the top music conservatories and Ivy League Universities. After working on a small demo together, they were inspired to give their full attentions to creating and performing pop/R&B music. The brothers have different musical styles that complement each other perfectly. Sean's experience arranging pop music and singing with R&B and jazz bands lends his production instant appeal. While Kevin has had similar experience singing pop and R&B, he prefers to be experimental in production, and his former career as a concert violinist (soloist with the L.A. Philharmonic among other things) is reflected in the string tracks scattered throughout the album. Incidentally, both were born with perfect pitch.
"Starlight & Dirt" is the unusual name of K.S.K.'s debut album. At its core, the album has a mainstream pop/R&B feel, with an emphasis on soulful vocals and lush harmonies. This is probably too simple a description, as the album includes a wide variety of musical elements ranging from acoustic to soul, hip-hop, and even a cappella. Each of the twelve tracks is sonically unique, but all are suffused with the brothers' smooth and expressive voices. K.S.K. not only wrote and produced every song on "Starlight & Dirt" but also performed all vocals and instruments.

A Freebie and so Beautiful. I hope KSK will not lose out due to my wonderful luck in CDbaby choosing this for me. I agree with everything Lee Henderson writes below, but, unlike him I will not be giving my copy to anyone. It's mine - ALL MINE - thanks KSK, your music is adorable

R&B + Soul at its best!

This CD is some of the most amazing music I've ever listened to. If you're into Boyz 2 men and R&B this is the cd for you. Its definitely a nice break from all the mainstream hip hop, neptune, pdiddyish, catchy beats thats all over the radio now. And none of that big music label, ego driven, money monger stuff..
