ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Whether it was singing songs and dancing in elementary school talents shows or playing saxophone in Sonny LaRosa’s Youngest American Jazz Band, K Sos (Kanili Sosa) was involved in music from a very early age. In 1998, K Sos began writing music at age 13. In 2000 he purchased the original Reason and started putting songs together. After teaching himself how to use the program, it took three years for him to complete his first album; a nine song LP entitled Naturally Aspired Funk. That record was followed up by 4 others over the next two years backed by his performance at several local events. After the release of his fifth LP, Live from 713 (recorded in a George Washington University dorm room) he returned to Florida and took a hiatus from music in pursuit of other interests. A year and a half later, K Sos stumbled upon some inspiration when he received K.D. & J.O.’s mixtape “I Do This For Fun Vol. 1” from a mutual friend.

The DINOSAUR story & the formation of K Sos’s group, No Ordinary Cats, can be found on the N.O.C. bio page. During some time away from the DINOSAUR recordings, K Sos recorded a solo mixtape entitled the PRESPORT (released Sept. 12th 2008) in order to reignite his following and promote the group album. While the group hit stages promoting DINOSAUR, K Sos recorded “Murphy’s Killer” (released March 2010) with bandmate Rams as a side project. As the group the N.O.C. continued to tour Florida opening for acts like Ludacris, Redman & Method Man, Pepper & Curren$y, K Sos followed The PRESPORT up with The Late Nite Walrus on Sept. 12th 2010. This 14 track psychedelic mix of songs takes you on a journey through K Sos’s unique sound and style. He completes his solo trilogy with his most recent release “Sciamachy” (released Sept. 12th 2011) which fans are saying is the best release to date as the once Orlando based musician has relocated to Miami.
