TERRITORY is an eight-song, experimental CD by the Boston Band AXMINSTER.
TERRITORY, "Is a hook heavy blend of modern and classic hard rock. The production is awesome!" Says REVELATION Z a webzine from Germany.
PLANETA ROCK RADIO in Argentina says TERRITORY has, "Ripping guitars, and contagious songs".
THE BOX 101, a 100,000-watt powerhouse rock station and ROCK AND A HARD PLACE MAGAZINE from the U.S. mid-west calls TERRITORY "A Dark, Heavy and Majestic sound."
KTD, or Kick the Dog is the group that cranked out TERRITORY. The band plays by the name Axminster and was a fixture on the Boston club scene in the early 80's, and continues to play and record today. They released a new Axminster CD titled about face and re-released a new CD of vintage tracks called Retro Fits, both available on CD Baby.
If vintage Led Zeppelin, Stone Temple Pilots and an arena rock mix of classic Aerosmith and Van Halen guitar shredding is the music you love, then this CD is for you.
MEDDOZAROCK a magazine from Switzerland says TERRITORY reminds you of the "Guns and Roses, appetite for destruction era, you can hear (the great playing) on every song on this record".
STUBBLE MUSICZINE of Boston notes TERRITORY "infuses elements of the BEATLES, ALICE COOPER, JAMES GANG and LED ZEPPELIN with some good old fashioned blistering guitar to create an edgy pop/rock sound that's all their own".
Alternate tunings, chunky riffs, an Eastern flavor meets Deep Purple with an edgy late 70's vibe, TERRITORY is a true rock CD that is proud of its musical roots complete with monster riffs and guitar solos. If that kind of CD is in your collection, then TERRITORY will fit right in.
It all started many decibels and a few moons ago when we cut our teeth playing around Boston back in the day. We had airplay, a few regional hits, headlined clubs, got great reviews and did gigs with Metallica, Extreme, Twisted Sister, Molly Hatchet, Foghat and Lita Ford. We played everywhere they let us! By the early 90's and after many gigs and showcases for all the major labels we went on hiatus.
The millenium came, so of course the band played a reunion show. The response was so overwhelming that the nearly original roster decided reform the group. Yes, the band was back together.
Although the group had a successful track record, "We wanted to try some new musical ideas. We didn't want too many comparisons to what we did in the 80's." notes Fiorentino. "We called it Kick the Dog, so it could be judged on it's own merits".
TERRITORY explores new ground for the band, a musical departure. Alternate tunings for alternate egos. It's a new crack in the old fault.
NEW ENGLAND ENTERTAINMENT DIGEST writes, "TERRITORY is a welcome punch of reminiscence. Filled with hot riffs and cool downs in all the right places. This CD EXPLODES...
ADRENALIN 'ZINE of Europe reviews "I love their attitude. The guitars are above and beyond, fantastic! Mid-tempo, melodic and transcending."
TERRITORY is modern rock songwriting with a classic feel.

All fans of hard rock must check out this band
author: Metal Domination by Antonis Maglaras
Here we present the latest full length album from KTD, a hard rock band from United States. This album has eight good songs generally.
I think this release splits in two pieces. I mean , the first three songs are a little bit slow and mid tempo, and from the fourth song"Here and Now", the band starts to rock with many groovy elements. So when you to listen this album you must listen to it carefully. The production is good and the sound is too. All the fans of hard rock in the early 70ies and 80ies must check this band.

This CD visits rock songwriting at its best!
author: New England Entertainment Digest
Territory, is a welcome punch of reminiscence, tempered with time. Flavors of Aerosmith, with Kiss-like framing, weave into the songs. Steve Sera's vocals are as strong and clear as ever, and the 8-track CD visits rock songwriting at its best - with a moderate start that eventually explodes into the kind of electric blending expected from a band of this caliber. Instrumentation is balanced, filled with hot riffs and cool downs in all the right places.
