What You Gonna Do?

by k-Tharsis

If James Brown and Moloko had covered songs by Prince and Radiohead together, it would have sounded a bit like k-tharsis - like Urban Funk from St. Gallen, Switzerland.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The band k-tharsis mixes electric Big City Music with Funk and Breakbeat elements. Out of this arise driving beats, soulful melodies and booming bass - in other words: Urban Funk.
Singer Raoul Nagel tellingly spins out stories while singing and rapping on stage, animating the five musicians to a sudoric performance. K-tharsis, comprising of its current members since 2003, released their first EP "Combination 6" in 2005. After numerous concerts at home and abroad, the new album "What You Gonna Do?" followed in 2009, in cooperation with Hinterhaus-Records. The word "Katharsis" stands for an abreaction (a catharsis), a letting out of pent-up emotions.
