These five songs are as dynamic as the human psyche: Killing you like a heartbreak, kissing you like a lover, thundering like passion and rage.

notes

Much of Kumasound's inspiration comes from the colors found in darkness. Reminiscent of Factory Records bands like New Order, along with vocal and musical stylings similar to Siouxsie and the Banshees, Curve and early Love and Rockets and Janes Addiction, Kumasound delivers songs that are equal parts inspiring and haunting, layering rhythms and textures one on top of the other...

  • Great as always.

Great is the only word to describe Kuma. I have both CDs and love them both. I have played them for others who have felt the same way. I can't wait for the full length CD.

  • Listen to this band!
    author: Joe Callaway

Bre really uses her voice in an original way. This cd is amazing from start to finish. It would be a tragedy if this band didn't get signed, they are better than most who are signed. All 5 songs are excellent. There is no filler on this cd. The lyrics are deep and thoughtful. It sounds like there is hidden meaning in many of them. Listen to this band. You won't be disappointed. I heard Moment of Silence on internet radio and had the cd shipped to me in Tucson, Arizona. I've played this cd for several people and they all loved it. Best thing I've heard in a long time.

  • A soundtrack waiting for a movie worthy of this music.
    author: Letty Cruz

I first heard about Kuma while clicking between stations on MSN Media Player. The track "Lead Balloon" came on and I dropped everything -- it's both ethereal and jagged and like walking into someone's lush dreamscape. It's one of those very rare songs where the vocals, the music, AND the lyrics match perfectly in intensity. REALLY, a movie could be produced just around this track's theme alone. But it would have to be a great one.

  • IMPRESSIVE, PERFECT SONGS
    author: BOLAFELD

THIS CD HAS REALLY IMPRESSED ME. I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR NEW CD'S TO ADD TO MY CATALOGUE FOR A LONG TIME, BUT THEY USUALLY END UP TOO DISAPPOINTING TO PURCHASE. HOWEVER, "THAT MOMENT OF SILENCE" CONTAINS SOME OF THE BEST SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD ALONG WITH A CONSISTENCY COMPARABLE WITH THE CURE'S "DISINTEGRATION." YOU CAN TELL THAT EVERY TRACK WAS LOVINGLY RECORDED. I HOPE THAT KUMA WILL MAKE IT TO K.C. SOMEDAY...

  • I've been waiting for this...
    author: Al Oweishes

A star for each song! Now is the time for this music and these songs and THIS BAND. They give you the dark/goth song. They give you the touching ballad with a hint of fetishism. They give you the pop single. They give you the punk angst song. They give you the epic kick-you-in-the-@$$ blow out rocker.

  • I love it!
    author: Harmony Edwards

Wow...the sophmore ep is what I was waiting for! Five more songs that I can't stop listening to. This collection is thought provoking and enchanting. Musically it is so refreshing to hear something new, Kuma is pioneering a sound that is so fresh. It fuses rock with electronica beats and tosses in a pinch of dark wave. I would have paid $7 for Bottled Dreams alone.

  • CAPTIVATING COMPOSITIONS...
    author: Shawn Telford, THE TABLET

...a full set of captivating compositions that crawl, wiggle, shake and vibrate up and down my spine like a sonic orgasm!...

  • Experience intense Kuma with open mind...
author: Tom Scanlon, THE SEATTLE TIMES

...Loughlin's voice and effects-heavy guitars suddenly leap to a new level, powerfully layering emotions and textures...(the song)Bottled Dreams is a rousing show-closer...
