Fun Song
The production was top notch and the lyrics are cleverly put together. I can see why this song goes over well to a live audience. It sounds almost like a parody of a drinking song in a good fun way. The type of song that someone would shout out a request for.

If you see the glass half empty......
you're not drinking fast enough. That's just one of the great lines in this song. Kurt is a master wordsmith and his clever writing here sets the bar for drinking songs to a new high. You'll find it easy to imagine the crowd in your favorite dive joining in for the chorus!

Terrible Advice, Great Song! LOL
I have to admit that I'm a huge Kurt Fortmeyer fan, so I am probably more than a little bit biased, but this is a GREAT song! It's perfect antidote for this harsh economic climate...a heaping helping of truth served with tongue only slightly in cheek. Musically, it harkens back to a place somewhere between Waylon Jennings' "Honky Tonk Heroes" period and Merle Haggard's Golden Age Of Alcoholism In Country era. Lyrically, it's Kurt at his clever best.
