Kurt Hunter

born: 7/24/79
Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Kurt began playing guitar as a freshman in high school. His musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, John Mayer, Faith No More, Metallica and Jason Mraz. His first band, Spore, released its only album in 1996 entitled Spornography. After graduating high school, Kurt moved out to California to be a part of The Young Americans, a youth musical group. During his three years performing with The Young Americans, Kurt traveled the US, England, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Ukraine. After completing his last tour, Kurt settled in Fullerton and began sharing his musical gifts at local coffee houses and open mic nights. Since then, Kurt has performed throughout Southern California. Kurt recently released a self-produced 5-song album entitled Gimmie Five! His first commercial full-length album, Somewhere In Between, is now available!

this CD was definetly worth the money. it has a variety of styles, from slower tunes to upbeat, fast songs. the songwriting is amazing, the lyrics thoughtful, and the musicianship is top-rate. highly recommended from this music snob.
