Album Notes

Kurt Peters, coming from a line of musicians in the Peters family was the most likely member of the next generation of musicians. His first big event happened at the age of 18 at the ‘97 Channel [V] music awards, playing with artists like the Colonial Cousins (Leslie Lewis, Hariharan). He started playing drums at the age of 14 and later went on to perform with leading artists and musicians in the country.
At age 21, he traveled to New York where he studied at The Collective, the World’s Premier Contemporary Music School. His study was based on a wide range of musical styles including Jazz, Funk, Brazilian and Popular music.
Kurt performed in Los Angeles with Bombay Black, opening for acts like the Offspring, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He has also performed with other international bands and musicians like Deep Forest and Dana Gillispie. Kurt has also toured with Adnan Sami, Kailash Kher, Shaan & Sagarika playing in Europe, Africa, U.S.A, England, Canada, and Dubai. He has performed at the Jazz Yatra (India) with “The Usual Suspects” in 2001, 2003. Kurt has also performed with American Jazz singer, Tyris Washington, in Shanghai, China for a brief period in 2004.
Apart from this, Kurt is also actively persuing other avenues for creating and writing music, Drum Production, Programming, and Sequencing. He has worked on scoring music for films 'Rog' by Pooja Bhatt and 'Dasvidaniya' with Kailasa and has also worked on producing drums and music arrangements for various artists like Kunal Gaanjawala, Kailash Kher, Akruti, Hypnotribe and Bombay Black.
