Album Notes

Derived from a deep dissatisfaction with the way Society tells us to live, Kurt Prond in Portland captures the thoughts and feelings of a "generation frustrated by the traps inherent in the American Dream." The frustrations of a culture that tells us that in order to be happy, we must have stability and security before we can have freedom, but how we lose ourselves in striving for that security, and end up as slaves to our own need for comfort.
You will not only hear the music of Prond's convictions, but also get a behind the scenes look into the the thoughts behind the songs and the creative process, as well as the many questions and barriers that arise in Prond's attempts to break free from that system and live in freedom from materialism and consumerism.
