Bill Kurzenberger is a dynamic keyboardist / guitarist / singer / songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. An established solo artist, he also plays keyboards and sings with The Resonators, the Bug Hounds, Skeleton Crew, and Terrapin Moon. Bill is also the newest member of garage-psych masters The Marshmallow Overcoat and appears on their newly-released CD "The Light Show". His recent projects also include Stone Groove, John Mullins Band and Grasshopper Pie.
Bill's influences range from Americana blues to funk to Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. Over the past fourteen years, Bill has played at many of Ohio's premier venues including Promowest's LC Pavilion, the House of Blues, the Beachland Ballroom, the Newport Music Hall, and Legend Valley. With various bands, Bill has supported renowned artists such as the Marshall Tucker Band, Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band, David Nelson Band, Derek Trucks Band, Hot Tuna, Blues Traveler, Yonder Mountain String Band and ekoostik Hookah.
Kurzenberger released his debut CD "Suspending Disbelief" in 2005. Recorded at Rome Recording Studio in Columbus, the CD features six songs selected from over a decade of original material, supported by Ed Ritchey, Scott Maruskin, Scot Gassen, Julie Rearick and Craig Harpley. "Suspending Disbelief" has received international airplay and is available at several online music outlets including CDBaby, Apple iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody. Kurzenberger's follow-up CD, "Solitary Road", will be released in the summer of 2010.
