Innovative, soulful artist plays the sounds we've waited for!
A clean, contemporary album packed full of interesting
and moving vocals unhindered by over embellishment that is so
prevelant in todays singers. The synergy of the musicians work, beautiful arrangements, and vocalist
lead us to sing along to a sound that hints of Jann Arden yet keeps its own
identity beautifully. The choice of songs (mostly original) are chosen and placed well on the track
list so this one will stay on the stereo or car CD for a very long time!

Kim Kuzma is impressive! Looking forward to next album!
Kim Kuzma displays a fantastic range and control with her album contradictions. Her ability to move from various styles while maintaining her charisma and strength are inspirational. The only thing she needs to do now is release another album!

Kuzma... one of the year's strongest and most engaging...
In today's math lesson, grade-A packaging plus songs with depth equals one refined debut effort from West End-based Kuzma, whose approach isn't exactly fresh but satisfying nonetheless. Her Jann Arden-like emotional embrace warms many of the songs on Contradictions, which commands attention with moves like the mid-album jump from spicy-jazz romp (Tango of Love) to piano-soft meditations on the murky human soul (River). With a cast of seasoned pros behind her (including Sarah McLachlan sideman Brian Minato, bass, and Sean Ashby, guitar, aka Jack Tripper), Kuzma has produced one of the year's strongest and most engaging indie-Vancouver albums. It's reason enough to dance to the album-closing, disco-fied version of The Eurythmics' Here Comes the Rain Again.
