Jazz Guitar...Any one? Keith Williams is here to serve it up with a flare!
Avant garde, funk & spoken word.
Since the age of 15, Keith has been composing on his axe due to his discovery
of funk/rock pioneers ...namely Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Prince & Funkadelic...
but his dad's jazz fusion albums is what sent him into the jazz genre.
His discovery that there is freedom in contemporary jazz is what blessed him.
Jazz is a story teller just like the afrocentric music of his ancestors...he ran away with
it naturally & spiritually (through much prayer & fasting).
At the age of 17 he had the God imparted vision of his own label called Magi Records.
Named after the wise men baring gifts unto the King Of Glory (the Son of God) .
In 1995, After being discharged from the Navy for the first time, he put the vision into
motion. He was even blessed to learn other instruments and that birthed the one man band
studio recordings. 1998 was his first release called Pillar Of Fire By Night his top underground
seller, a favorite of his community fan base in Atlanta, GA.
After his 3rd release Keep On Y'all featured in Gospel Truth Magazine + compilation
CD for 3 month, including his tracks used for various radio commercials. Continuing on Life's journey, Acidjaz re-inlisted into the Navy for a few years. But, as the Lord would have it he is back home again and ready to bless your ears again.
By the grace of God he has matured and grown musically ...he is now even concidering
major mainstream record deals/distribution. His recent project in 2004
is a dance, trip hop mix called (a.k.a.) Acidjaz 1/Soulful Ocean. Acidjaz is inspired by Paul Hardcastle, Ronny Jordan & Jamiroquai. Lately. Hip Hop artist(s) are drawn to his creativity & tracks and compare him to Miles Davis & Santana . Acidjaz would consider it a treat to work with the Hidden Beach Label. He antisipates that it would be great for the amazing education & experience to take Magi Records to the next level. New legends like Jill Scott & Jeff Bradshaw got his respect most definetely.
Magi Records is on the rise putting out positive music. But as you know without support and a slamming fan base, even the greats would be lacking . Let a brotha know how you enjoyed this site, email me at magirecords2004@yahoo.com, and to really show your appreciation and support, order your own copy of Soulful Ocean today, you will be glad you did.
We thank you in advance for your continued support. Welcome a Brotha man back !!!!!!!

"Keep on "is very much like Miles D. "Debop" cd.
Very carefree funk.
"soul interlude"is down an dirty delta bluesy funk.
Almost jeff beckish.
"Celebrate" is my favorite due to my latin blood(laugh).
The old school and future is all fused together.
Is there any style this guy can't do?

Can I please get on the mailing list for his upcoming
shows in Athens,Ga.
I love the funky track "Keep on".It is so Miles Davis-ish
with his own originality.3rd Heaven is a guitar solo that
sounds like a Synthesizer,I can't believe it.
My brother loves this cd too."Free Indeed" has some nice vocals that peaked his interest.
