ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We have meticulously researched the 1935 Negro League All-Star Game, called the "East-West Game," and recreated the action as it might have sounded on the radio, with veteran Hollywood actor Tony Pappenfus as the announcer. Sound effects will make you believe you've travelled back in time and are listening to a real game!

Every at bat, every great play is exactly as it happened more than 70 years ago! You'll hear some of the world's greatest Negro Leaguers making diving catches, stealing bases, blasting homers, throwing heat and making history!

The '35 Classic was one of the greatest Negro League games of all-time, was played in front of 50,000 fans at Comiskey Park in Chicago, and featured such legendary stars as Martin Dihigo, Cool Papa Bell, Ray Dandridge, Luis Tiant, Buck Leonard, Willie Wells, Mule Suttles, Raymond Brown, Josh Gibson and Biz Mackey. You won't believe how this game ends!
