Album Notes

Kymberli, an extraordinarily talented singer and songwriter, denotes the sound of soul as she employs effortless technique, captivating the listener with her charismatic soprano voice. Her exceptional gift was noticed at an early age when she sang in the choirs of Allen AME Church in Washington, DC.

Kymberli's love for music was the impetus for her to pursue a career in this field. During her teens, Kymberli attended Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Later, she continued her musical studies at the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. While there, she pursued perfection in the areas of music theory and classical voice. After obtaining her classical foundation, Kymberli decided to broaden her musical experience to include standard and contemporary jazz. She began studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where she received her Bachelor's of Music Degree in Professional Music.

In 1990 Kymberli moved to California to embark on her professional music career. She is a vocal instructor for the Walter Hamilton School of Music in Los Angeles, CA. Kymberli has worked with a number of renowned artists including Tremaine Hawkins, Lalah Hataway, Walter Beasley and Warren Hill. Her theater credits are Chip Field's Sing Me One More Song, Candace Cole's The Anointing, and the NAACP award winning Busline 210. She has performed nationally at venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Apollo Theater, the Berklee Performance Center and the Capital Center (US Air Arena).

In recognition of her distinguished achievements, Kymberli was chosen 1996 Outstanding Woman in the Performing Arts category by the 5th Southern California District Conference of the AME Church Missionary Society. Recently, she received the Best New Artist Award on The Sheila "O" Show, a syndicated gospel television program aired on the West Coast.

Kymberli's foremost desire is to be God's instrument, disseminating His message through song. Her debut album, No Fear, is exceptional and pertinent to the times.

What a voice. This girl has it all. Listen to a sample of "Whisper A Prayer" or "No Fear" and you will see that I know what I'm talking about. Enough said. Yolanda Adams...move over baby.
