ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Amour DuJour is the second CD from the infamous La Barrio Manouche, another great Batovision production, played and recorded by music impresario tad sharpe from within a small space located in Southern Florida in the United States. Selmer style gypsy guitars from Cordoba, one each of the \'grand bouche\' and the \'petit bouche\' were recorded, along other tracks played on melodica, some synthesizer tracks from a nord lead, plus other stringed instruments including violin, bass, a cuatro from Puerto Rico (thank YOU Maribel Delgado, we love you!), and occasional balalaika and mandolin.

This very special music preserves the freshness and spontaneity and youthful rebellion that was Gypsy Jazz when freshly stolen to france by the illiterate Django who could not even read his recording contract.... it is put thru a multch machine that tosses it with elements of middle eastern music, flamenco music, the power of a little rock in there, washes of music to overtake your senses and propel you into another time and place, far far away.....
