Labretta Suede and The Motel 6 Yes, they are proud to release their latest EP, LOON-A-TIKI! This is their second release after their internationally successful debut album ‘Not Food Hungry’. With this release they bring to you, a slice of NZ history. This package is a New Zealand covers EP. A what? You heard it, a homage to NZ’s musical history. Some songs ever date back as far as the late 50’s! LOON-A-TIKI has 6 of some of the bands favourite New Zealand songs that they have reinterpreted. The EP includes songs from ‘Shaft’, ‘The Scavengers’ & more. Why look in someone else’s hemisphere when your own back yard has so many bizarre treasures to trip over – ouch was that a triphid? This EP has inspiration from the thunderous volcanic rhythms to the pungent sweating swamps of song. These shaky isles have brought forth many musical marvels in its short sulphuric history. After chiselling through the basalt and wading through the lahar, they have exhumed some of the most exalted examples.
