El grupo estadounidense La Droga Electra nacio en San Diego, California en la primavera del ano 2000. El grupo consiste de Javier Salazar(guitarra), Danny Gonzalez(bajo), Cisco Gonzalez(guitarra), Manuel Lopez(bateria), y Victor Lujan(voz).

Javier y Danny fundaron el grupo despues de a ver tocado juntos en varias ocasiones. El grupo, al que tambien pertenecia un guitarrista llamado Cisco, logro componer una coleccion de canciones de diferentes corrientes musicales. Despues de algunos meses de haber ensayado y tocado localmente, el trio decidio integrar a Manuel y a Victor en el grupo.

La nueva adicion ayudo a desarrollar un estilo eclectico y interesante. Los miembros decidieron nombrar el grupo La Droga Electra, un nombre que refleja el efecto que su musica los hace sentir.

Durante el ultimo ano y medio, La Droga Electra e tenido la oportunidad de compartir el ecenario con artistas como Lucybell, Ely Guerra, Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro, Kinky, Panteon Rococco, Santos Inocentes, y Los Superlitio entre otros. El grupo tambien fue invitado a tocar en varios festivales incluyiendo el Del Mar Fair, Sherman Heights Festival, y el Old Town Cinco de Mayo Festival en San Diego.

Mezclando varios estilos de rock, los miembros de La Droga Electra estan seguros de satisfacer a cualquier aficionado del movimiento de rock en espanol. Busquen su nuevo disco titulado La Primera Adiccion en el verano del 2002!

The rock group La Droga Electra was born in San Diego, California in the spring of 2000. The group consists of Javier Salazar(guitar), Danny Gonzalez(bass), Cisco Gonzalez(guitar), Manuel Lopez(drums), and Victor Lujan(voice).

Javier and Danny founded the group after having played together on various occasions. The group, which also included a guitarist named Cisco, managed to compose a collection of songs varying in style. After a couple of months of practicing and performing locally, the trio decided to integrate Manuel and Victor into the group.

The new addition helped develop a very eclectic and interesting style. The members decided to name the band La Droga Electra, a name that reflects the effect that their music makes them feel.

During the last year and a half, La Droga Electra has had the opportunity to share the stage with such artists as Lucybell, Ely Guerra, Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro, Kinky, Panteon Rococco, Santos Inocentes, and Los Superlitio among others. The group has also been invited to play in various festivals including the Del Mar Fair, Sherman Heights Festival, and the Old Town Cinco de Mayo Festival in San Diego.

Fusing various styles of rock, the members of La Droga Electra are sure to satisfy any follower of the Rock en Espanol movement. Look for their new CD entitled La Primera Adiccion being released in the summer of 2002!
