Lady D is W.Va's "First Lady of Soul." She lives up to this reputation by using her smooth vocals to put her own spin on all the genres that sprang from America's root music, the blues. She expands on R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz and even Reggae. Her style is almost unable to be put into a box.

Her award winning song, "Go Higher" is featured on the My Turn cd. It was chosen as the best Obama Inaugural Song and earned her a spot on the Obama for Change Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC. This pop/inspirational song shows the range of perception in Lady D's writing. She is at home in many styles of music...but all leads back to the Blues!
