Album Notes

What can you say about Lady Mary? That she is beautiful is obvious. Her stage presence and infectious personality will surely grab your attention. When the sultry, seductive, and soulful sound of this angel’s voice reaches your ear, you become enraptured. You are then transported into a blissful state of awe and wonder.

Singing comes very naturally to this music veteran who began her career at the early age of seven when she began singing in the church choir at Southern Baptist Church in NW, D.C. The church influence is evident in her vocal style, which is laced with gospel flair. At the age of 18, Lady Mary decided that singing was her calling, but was unsure how to pursue
Her dream. After auditioning for only five minutes, the band decided she was the perfect one. This was her introduction to R&B singing. Her raw talent and unique presence made her a natural with her audiences. As the years passed, Lady Mary sang with several area bands looking for the perfect match for her skills and a place to call home. That Band was Jim Bennett and Unique Band.

With influences that range the spectrum of R&B’s finest females, including Betty Wright, Gwen McCrae, Gladys Knight, and Denis LaSalle. Lady Mary has an extremely vast repertoire that covers
R&B, Blues, Gospel New and Old. No matter what era she chooses her songs; the audience is automatically transported to that magical space in time from whence the piece is derived. The heart felt emotion that she puts into every selection, gives the audience a glimpse of times past and the memories created there. God is her guiding force.
Lady Mary is a recording artist with 9 CDs to her credit. [2 of 9] Roy C meets the Root Dr. [More Sax] and Something Special X Mas C. D. [More Sax] [6 with]Jim Bennett.
