LAKE, today, is Lindsay Schieff, Ashley Eriksson, Eli Moore, Andrew Dorsett, Mark Morrison and Adam Oelsner. They formed in Olympia, Washington in the summer of 2005 and are still together slamming down hot new extended jams all the time.
They are a talented group of multi-instrumentalists who not only play in LAKE and their own personal side-projects, but have also played as the back-up band for Karl Blau, Adrian Orange, Half-handed Cloud, and Your Heart Breaks
LAKE has exciting news! LAKE spent 3 years working on an album with the producer, Tucker Martine, and it is finally coming out, but in a way that may have never been done before. Maybe it has, but in any case, the songs will be released two at a time on 7 inches by different labels. The first 7 inch is being put out by K records in September. Skippy!
More exciting news. A new, new album is almost complete and undergoing the final stages of production. Recorded by Karl Blau at K's Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia, "Let's Build a Roof" will be coming out this fall as well.
