The fifth in a series of fine and fun cds. Lalo is Ned Neltner leader/singer/guitarist and songwriter for the longtime Northwest legend band, Jr. Cadillac. He's moved to Mexico and this new cd was written and recorded in his house in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco. A mix of rootsy styles including Blues, Ska, R&B and rock 'n roll. It swings. You can dance or listen and have a great time either way. Check out the guitar solos by young Hugo Becerra from Guadalajara and the great vocals, playing and songwriting from lalo. 5 original tunes and 5 covers. The covers are eclectic to be sure; A Jimmy Reed tune, A Boxtops song, one each from The Coasters, Sam Cooke and The Kinks.
A cold Mexican beer is advised.
