Mr. Carrillo,
for being the first try sounds great!
Rhythms, emotions, feelings are some words to describe this work that sounds excellent.

indeed, a nice first try
certainly well worth a listen, particularly if you're tolerant of '80s fusion. therein being my issue with this album. no doubt, the playing is very good. however many of the tunes are somewhat compositionally challenged. there is a seemingly unrelenting inclination to randomly throw in some synth pad thing (ala JX8P - remember the "Ooooh" and "Aaaah" settings???) into many of the tunes for no apparent reason. also, some of the head melodies don't seem to have any real direction.

overall, an exceptional effort though I would have been much happier with this album had they used less synthesized sound. it really makes the whole thing sound dated.

First Try
Thanks for a wonderful work. I loved it. It is refreshing, challenged some songs of the past and loved the new tunes and musical arrangements. I epecially liked: Southamerica, in reality I liked them all, but Southamerica got to my senses. Congratulations on a wonderful work. Best, Aida Cores/Dallas, TX (It just missed your signature!)
