Album Notes

La Matriz was a rock en espanol band from the Washington DC area and it was influenced by the sounds of Seattle`s grunge (Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana) and Latin Rock by Soda Stereo as well as Great Britain Pop rock bands such as The Cure & early Radiohead. In the mid 90`s Daniel Gomez Botta was the front man for La Matriz (eventually Papas Underground) playing the DC/Virginia/Maryland circuit and sharing the stage with many local, regional and international acts.
