Epic Folk; the usual stunning depth that's expected from Stenson's lyric but this time surrounded by atmospheric folk-rock tones that approach cinematic. A departure from the American songwriter's typical stripped down brand but his signature nonetheless.

Album Notes

Sentimental, sincere, even romantic, the lyric and tone of Orange Chrome Sky stir up an emotional history. Tyler Stenson’s fourth studio album infuses classic folk compositions with timeless rock n' roll melody, creating a celebrated sound.

“Atmospheric folk” some say, discussing the tragedy of the commons: love and heartbreak, glory and ruin, hope and lack of. Imagine long dirt roads, legacies and the epic story that is life and you've begun to imagine Lander’s Orange Chrome Sky.

-----------

Born in Lander, WY Tyler Stenson (28) considers himself a cowboy. Now Portland based, he humbly writes of those days as if a Midwestern Poet; blending the old countryside with the new cityscape and delivering his elegant songs from the heart, simple and true.

Twice named Portland's Performing Songwriter of the Year (2007 & 2008) and boasting a host of other professional acknowledgments, Stenson’s poignant sound is putting lumps in throats and attracting a train of followers that find a piece of themselves in the sincerity of his words and the authenticity of his performances.

Former songwriter and front-man for his bands Rhetoric Tuesday and Lander, Stenson can now be found returning to his folk roots where lyrics are king. Combining his soothing vocals, understated elegance, contagious melody and classic storytelling, Stenson has set out to brave the national scene and create something powerfully timeless with his signature sound.

Tyler's words paint a picture and his sound frames it. It's art in it's truest form...vividly detailed...captivating... Personally, from this album, I love Radiate. there is also a remix of Radiate, which is, to say the least, rad. I also am smitten on...well...the whole album...Babysitting the Cowboy, Miles from my Bed....I literally would name them all so I'll stop there. Have a listen for yourself...I have no doubt you'll feel it too...
