Album Notes

This is a strong outing from Slide Guitarist Dan Lange, with around 45 minutes of material including Studio tracks and a pressure cooker of a live set at Berkeley's "Bison Brewery".

Stories of loss, Love and redemption unfold against a backdrop of acoustic and electric slide guitar.

From the quirky playing of Blacktop Furnace, a tribute to the sacrifices people make for the ones they Love, to the acoustic Barroom meditation of "Nobody's Gonna Ask Me Why", Lange delivers the goods with style and a wicked laugh.

Good job. I enjoyed it. Steel & slide is one of those sounds that make me love music. One of these days, I'll catch up with you busking on the mean streets of Berkeley.

I studied under Mr. Lange for a few months and let me tell you this CD is a great start to understanding where our musical roots as Americans have come from. Not only is "Please And Thank You" entertaining but it is educational as well. I am more than happy to reccommend this LP. Mike Glendinning www.mikeglendinning.com Mike Glendinning
