Album Notes

The compelling instrumental follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album \"Lanterna.\"

\"Elm Street\" transcends whatever label one wishes to put upon it. Equally at home in collections of Rock, New Age or Ambient, it is simply an alluring collection of songs suitable for every moment of the day listening.

A \'lanterna\" is a magic lantern. In the hands of delay-pedal guitar master Henry Frayne (Moon Seven Times, Area), this Lanterna will light the path into the deep corners of your mind to project road movies in slow motion. Lanterna visits the instrumental vistas that Pell Mell and Scenic have traveled for their music, though Lanterna\'s use of the wild west is more expansive in its splashes of ambient guitar, drums and bass.

\"... not content with mere pretty soundscapes, Lanterna conjures a mixed bag of styles, mostly spare, spicy, spacey, quiet, ambient Talk Talk, Pink Floyd moods, but also haunted, saddened spaghetti western and dreampoppy, delay-vistas that clutch one\'s heart strings.\"

REVIEWS

Uniquely beautiful guitar based visions

Lanterna is the perfect music for exploring the inner or outer landscape. I have been thrilled with Henry's music since discovering a self titled Lanterna production on cassette (yes, old-fashioned cassette!) which I still listen to on a regular basis. All of Lanterna's recordings deserve the highest rating. Enjoy!
