Album Notes

Lara Oshon, songwriter, performer and painter, is an original creative spirit. Pioneering her own genre of lyrically soulful music and art, Lara has recorded three albums and found devoted supporters from California to Australia. She recently placed in the Top 25 of the Lilith Fair Atlanta competition, and initiated a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund her current album, “Born to Shine.”

Lara’s demo album, "Emerging," established her as a warm, inspiring singer/pianist and talented lyricist. Next, showcasing her gifts at musical arrangement and strong melody, she released her second album, “Dive In.” Her single, “Back into One,” was released on Earth Day 2010. Lara's new full length album, "Born to Shine," was recorded in front of an intimate, live studio audience, and is dedicated to honoring the Earth. Blending her life into her performances, she folds fun and personal storytelling around her soulful songs.

Lara’s bold and expressive Soul Paintings have been exhibited around the country. Her live concerts are powerful, inspiring and naturally entertaining. Lara's Georgia roots and California spirit unite to create a transforming musical experience. STUDIO SKY, Lara’s recording label, publishing company, and working studio space, supports her passion for growing love, peace and community through the creative arts.

After living in Los Angeles for years, she recently nestled back in the green nurturance of her home state of Georgia. She looks forward to recording her next album soon!
