Large Lump Sum is a 3-piece punk rock band from the San Ferneando Valley in Los Angeles. Influenced by the 90's style of skate-punk including bands like NOFX, The Vandals, Bad Religion, The Offspring, and Pennywise... Large Lump Sum brings a new style to the table that blends fast and melodic punk, and an old school funk bass flavor that can only be compared to Suicidal Tendencies.
Large Lump Sum includes Eric Cobain on Bass, James Cambpell on Drums, and Brewmaster Dave on Vocals and Guitar.
Most of Large Lump Sum's songs have simple arraingements and based around a "Hook and Riff" song structure approach that bands like The Offspring, The Vandals, Guttermouth, and Green Day made so famous with the only difference being that Large Lump Sum continues to speed up the music instead of slowing it down.
The "Hook and Riff" structure can be heard on songs off of their first release on Burning Tree Records named "Stay Tooned" (All artwork was created by Eric Cobain) like "En Donde La Familia" and "What Day is this is" which also has that old-school funk flavor to it. From start to finish "Stay Tooned" has a variety of styles, speeds, melodies, song lengths, and riffs that will keep the album in your cd player for a long time....
Enjoy with beer in hand because that is how it was created!
