Melt (Single Edit) is Larke revisiting a song off his first album, 'Songs' and reworking and editing it down for a single release.
"I felt that the album version, although it captured the essence of what I felt about the song at the time of recording in the studio, it was not the definitive version. I had only finished writing the song on the train to the studio that morning so I hadn't had time to fully arrange the song, and I think it ran a bit too long. So I went back to the studio in Summer 2010 and re-did it, keeping it much more organic (and shorter) and getting my mate Chris Koh to add some beautiful violin to it."
