An acoustic "Mannheim Steamroller" with vocals. A lot of fun, sensitivity, and just great Christmas music with unusual arrangements. This album is dedicated to the men and women serving in the U.S Military, and to their families.

Album Notes

During the Christmas of 2008 I wrote “Just Another Christmas” and “Baby Jesus”. The inspiration came from a story about military families and how they deal with the holidays when they are apart, especially around Christmas. As a result this album is dedicated to the men and women serving in the U.S. Military, and to their families. In addition to the original pieces, I added my favorite Renaissance piece ever! “Greensleeves“… which had been transformed to a staple Christmas song called “What Child Is This." I have always enjoyed Mannheim Steamroller and thought that taking this song, and other public domain Christmas songs, and transforming them into something new and (hopefully) exciting would be a fun project. My partner Kenney agreed. I have a slight "bent" towards an acoustic rather than electric sound so I call the style of the album an acoustic "Mannheim Steamroller" with vocals. It was a challenge but I brought in some new voices - Faith Johnson (eleven years old!), Billy Matthews, Jeremy Roberson - and included my friend Lori Weintz, who worked with me on my album "Runaway." With their varied vocals, the project became much easier and began to flow. Faith Johnson is awesome on “Silent Night” and Lori Weintz’ performance on “O Come All Ye Faithful” is mesmerizing. I can’t imagine anyone - ages two years to ninety - not enjoying this album. It’s uplifting with different memorable arrangements. I hope you’ll love it!
Merry Christmas and God Bless our Military.
