"Emotional" is Larry's first release as a leader and not only features his own timeless compositions and some highly spirited trumpet playing, but also several instruments on the backing tracks. Keyboards, guitar, and all the drum programming.
Larry also brings into the spotlight the EVI - an electronic
wind controlled synthesizer made for trumpet players by Nile Steiner.
"It has its own sensitivities." says Williams, " because it's breath controlled you can phrase and articulate like you do on your "real" horn at the same time having access to all the cool sounds keyboard players enjoy."
