Album Notes

This project began one winter afternoon when a group of artists from LaSalle Street Church gathered at Doug McBride's, Gravity Studios, to talk a little art and ponder the grace of God. As things were winding, Doug asked, "Why don't we make an album?" It sounded like a good idea. Doug has recorded/mixed/mastered some of the best music to come out of Chicago - think Smashing Pumpkins - so we came back in the summer ready to go. Everyone had an hour or two to record; we all played and sang for each other; and we especially thank Chris Stacey, Gary Rand, Rob Clearfield and the Stacey Brothers for musical direction. Rob Clearfield, Patrick Mulcahy and Quin Kirchner were keyboards, bass and drums for around half of the songs. Julian and Jordan Stacey played drums and bass on the others. Thanks also to Lenora Rand who was invaluable throughout, named the album and directed the CD design and packaging.
