Some people stumble into their destiny. Some circle in on it slowly. Still others have it handed to them, or just let it slip away before they even discover what it is was.
Then there's Alex Lasarenko. It may be a cliche to say that some people were born to their destiny, but for a fortunate few, it's true.
Music is more than knowledge for Alex; it is his way of existing in the world. A classically trained pianist who began playing at the age of three, Alex has composed scores for films including, "Pipe Dream", "Business of Strangers", and "Dinner Rush." He has also composed, produced, and performed on albums with such artists including Grace Jones and Yes, and was a founding member of the band Glamour Camp (EMI/Capitol Records).
As Alex continued on his journey, always using his music as his emotional release, he became Creative Director of a major music house in NYC. During his 14-year tenure there, Alex was honored with numerous industry awards for best original music in commercials for clients including Audi, Levi's, Mercedes Benz, National Geographic, and Volkswagen.
Alex is also a staunch supporter of the arts. He has been collecting contemporary art for more than ten years and his paintings have frequently been requested by museums around the world.
NOIR is a reflection of Alex's innate ability and desire to express passion and emotions through music. Here, he has created an orchestral soundtrack to life. A stirring collection, it is lush and uplifting at times, dark and mysterious at others, and yet, it is always soulful and introspective. Alex writes to complement the human spirit.
