LSC started as Jeff Campagna's solo recording project. In late 2001, Jeff invited Pete Paraschos to add some guitar work to his original material, based on Pete's performances at Whitlow's on Wilson. Pete was between gigs at the time and jumped on the opportunity to add his groove to Jeff's music.
Chris entered the picture-serendipitously-in mid-2002 after impressing Jeff and Pete with his hand-drumming at Kenny Haddaway's open mic night at Whitlow's on Wilson in Arlington, Virginia.
Pretty much, if it weren't for Kenny's open mic nights, the guys in LSC would never have met in the first place.
LSC spent the summer of 2002 recording their debut CD-Cornered-with local producer Phil Stevenson.
It's safe to say that LSC got it backwards as a band by recording its debut CD before actually deciding to become a bona fide performing outfit under its own distinctive name. But hey, that's how it goes sometimes . . .
