A Talk Talkish disk
author: Garold Casler
The influence of Talk Talk is very evident on this CD, especially on the first two tracks where the keyboard and drum kit sound like something straight from Talk Talk's "Spirit of Eden" or "Laughing Stock" There are also some parallels lyrically, but Nahas isn't as spiritually abstract as Mark Hollis. Nahas' vocals, at least to me, brought to mind Paul Buchanan (of The Blue Nile) and at times Cy Curnin (of The Fixx). An excellent disk!
