"Laughing Tree Lullabies, Vol. 1" is a collection of lullabies from around the world, blending various languages, musical styles and ambient sounds found in everyday life (riding a bicycle, washing dishes, cars passing by, birds...).
This is a lullaby album and although we made it so that babies can sleep to it, we recorded it with our friends in mind. It's very fresh, chill, hip, and different. It's good over a glass of wine with friends or for putting the baby down for the night. We hope this nostalgic, multi-textured collection will bring quiet and rest.
"Yes, there is a Nirvanah; it is in leading your sheep to a green pasture, and in putting your child to sleep, and in writing the last line of your poem. -Kahlil Gibran

Wonderful Album
author: Sarah M.
I absolutely love this album. I do not have children yet but enjoy the soothing lullabies. Jessica has such a lovely voice and the whole album makes you feel peaceful and relaxed. I gave one to my baby nephew and look forward to playing it for my future children.

Smooth, Comfortable, Nostalgic.
author: Ward Rau
The voice of an angel! These old, mostly familiar songs, nursery rhymes and lulabies have a smooth, and relaxing quality, not just for babies, and not just for night time. The sweet purity of Jessica's voice makes for comfortable listening at any time. The arrangements are inventive and interesting, and even surprising and the variety of approaches really works. My favorites are the sweet purity of "Schlafe Mein Prinzchen" by Mozart, and the fun arrangement of Toora Loora Loo, a traditional Irish song deliverered in a very non-traditional way. Many of the selections bring one back to favorite memories of times and places gone by when childhood fantacies and dreams flourished. Smoothe, comfortable, nostalgic. Good listening any time.
