REVIEWS

One of my FAVORITE CDs of all time!

I'm very picky with what music I listen to and what artists I support, but (you need to know) Laura Cheadle just gets better and better. Every song she releases gets better than the last. Every show is better than the last. She is truly the hardest working young lady in show business! Mark my words, you will NOT skip a song on this CD (unless its to go back and repeat one that you can't stop listening to ; but you'll still come back to the next track at some point) I could literally tell you every aspect of every song that I love but I just wanted to point out a few things if you're deciding whether or not to buy or check out a new artist. "Change (It's Alright)" is a beautiful song, a beautiful video, and has a beautiful message. I love both versions on this CD! "Paintbrush" is just adorable and heartfelt and it's something that'll make you turn to the person you love and smile. "Hey There Devil" is sultry and reminds me of old school jazzy blues, it's a great tune for driving down a dark windy road late at night. "Blue Sky" makes you feel like you too can just be yourself, which we need to be reminded of every once in a while. "What Kind of World" has a beautiful arrangement that makes me want to cry, "Rainy Day" is adorable and fun and the harmonies are so motown which I love! In all honesty I've listened to this CD a bagillion times, it may be burned into my stereo permanently in my car. I love this artist, her band, her energy, and I think she is the best artist out there. Once you listen to the CD, you've gotta see her live because that'll knock your socks off even more! The Princess of Funk is here!
